Located at almost 4,000 feet and 10 degrees North latitude, you have arrived at one of the  most diverse ecosystems on the planet.  Exotic tropical plants grow wild next to pine trees.  Cloud forest borders beautiful rolling hills and pastures.  A few dirt roads twist and wind through it all following the La Paz River from its source.  Toucans and Quetzales can been seen feasting from the abundant fruit trees during migration. Whenever you might have the opportunity to turn off the beaten tourist trail, this is a must see area to visit and explore the ‘Real Costa Rica’.  The population of the valley is approximately 40 friendly ticos.

Built fifteen years ago, our country home features a unique vacation / retreat location for couples, families and groups.  With 3 large bedrooms and 2 baths, we can accomodate up to 6 very comfortably. The large kitchen is open and airy - with gas and electric cooktops.  All 

the usual countertop appliances are supplied, including juicer and blender for natural fruit and vegetable refreshments.  There is on demand hot water with good pressure throughout the quinta.  Both bathrooms have modern U.S. standards fixtures.  All the floors are tiled except the 

master, which is hardwood. The yards and patios offer numerous locations for relaxing, reading and bird watching.  

The organic gardens feature many varieties of local fruits and vegetables for you to pick and prepare. This valley is very conducive to ‘unplugging’ from your ‘normal’ lifestyle and finding a slower paced rhythm.

This property offers 1,100 sq.ft., Over 1/2 acre of on-site gardens are yours to enjoy and explore in addition to various patios and sitting areas with valley views.   The La Paz river is 100 yards away and ready to explore.  The hills and valleys surrounding the 

Quinta are primary cloud forest  offering the hiker an open trail to explore without the limitations of some more well known areas.
