Playa Garza Costa Rica Real Estate

When you are in Nosara, on the magnificent Gold Coast of Costa Rica in Guanacaste, don’t forget to visit Playa Garza.  This perfect horseshoe bay, with its lovely white sand and quiet water, is the least touristy of Nosara;  it is the most relaxing beach of this beautiful area. Garza is a quiet little fishing village, where nothing much ever happens and nothing much ever changes. The beach is long and deserted, a perfect paradise. It is lined by coconut and almond trees all along providing you with shade, and its calm water is excellent for swimming, floating and snorkelling!  There are some local little sodas along the bay offering delicious fresh fish and shrimps;  try soda Playa Garza, they will serve you right on the beach if you wish, and it is an experience that cannot be missed!

If you like a little more sophistication, there is a very good place to eat Sushi that just opened, that is prepared by Pascale, the local French girl! Try Also Pacifica Azul, another new attraction.

Playa Garza is also the sports fishing center of Nosara. The local people will be happy to offer you boat trips, while the tour operators will book fishing tours for you, most of them are to be found the hotels in Nosara and Guiones, however there are also a couple on site in Garza: Check the small bodega, the little grocery store on the main road, or the fisherman's shop next door, Pescaderia Alex, they will be able to help you. You can even bring the fish you caught to Dona Ana’s Kitchen and she will prepare it for you, just bring a good bottle! Her shrimp and vegetable tempura is also said to be the best of Nosara!

If you happen to visit Garza on a Sunday, you will experience the real authentic Costa Rica as families gather on the beach. It is wonderful to walk up and down the shore  but don’t forget the sun screen lotion and your hat; the sun is strong.

Playa Garza is a wonderful place to spend the day, swimming, sunbathing, relaxing, have a lovely lunch or dinner under the sunset, take long strolls, and especially, for doing nothing at all!
