San Antonio de Belen Costa Rica Real Estate

San Antonio de Belen is a pretty and picturesque little town located in the province of Heredia, only a few minutes away from the capital city of San Jose, the Juan Santamaria international airport in Alajuela, and the city of Heredia. It is close to the popular little towns of Sta Ana and Escazu, and to many country inns, apart hotels, luxury hotels such as the Marriott, the Cariari Country Club and Golf Course, and the big shopping mall of Real Cariari with its hundreds of shops, its cinemas and restaurants.

It enjoys quite a warm climate all year around, being nested in the central valley, surrounded by beautiful mountains.  Because of its excellent location and easy access to the best tourist destinations, being just over one hour away from the Pacific Coast,  San Antonio is a prosperous and very sought after town. Its development is steady without however turning into an architectural nightmare and it has a charm and style that is hard to find anywhere else.

The people of San Antonio are very friendly and cheerful, just like the town where they live! This is pretty much a middle class population, enjoying a very comfortable life style. For shopping, locals either walk along the pleasant and clean streets of their little town, or else go to the small shopping mall near the center of Belen where there is a large supermarket and many fine restaurants.

Everybody has heard of Ojo de Agua in San Antonio; it could be translated into Water hole, indeed it consist of a group of pools that are constantly being renewed by pure and limpid water coming from an underwater spring! While it may  be sometimes a bit fresh, it is certainly invigorating and it attracts many visitors, especially during the hot and dry summer days!

San Antonio also has a variety of gyms to choose from for the sporty type. It enjoys a good night life too with a nice choice of fine restaurants and bars, and it even has an amphitheater offering national and international concerts and presentations.

This little town is growing in popularity and this is for all the good reasons. It is conveniently located, it has a warm and pleasant climate, good shopping, it is close to the capital, and to the airport. It is safe, clean, and beautiful. San Antonio de Belen is really looking at the future!
