The swimming pool and exotic gardens are set in an ancient coral reef,10,000 year old. Professors of the Smithsonian Institute have come here to look and take fossils from the coral stone reef.
This Inn was designed and built by a Frenchman JeanPaul Feuillatre of Nantes and his Canadian wife Elizabeth Newton. Concept of design was inspired by the many years of traveling and sailing in the Mediterranean and Africa, and restoring of a castle in Spain, where the famous poet “Garcia Lorca “ had hidden and lived for a few years.
They chose Cahuita amongst many other places, to settle indefinitely and create their dream hotel, JeanPaul’s paradise. The artistic idea and thought given into each detail gives this very distinct hotel a unique ambiance of its own. As many traveller’s who come to stay repeat again and again,”when you walk into this place ,you feel harmony and peace, an unexplainable sensation of relaxation and beauty.” The warmth and charm of this place, attract many tourists to come again and again.
6 ROOMS, private terraces, all furniture handmade in local tropical hardwoods. Also beautiful Ratan chairs.
All have ceiling fans, private bathrooms with hot running water and coffee makers. 3 rooms have air condition.
2 bedrooms with Satellite TV, fridges. All newly tiled floors. Wifi.
BAR & RESTAURANT area
Oriental carpets ,ratan furniture, warm and attractive ambiance. Stereo system and wireless Internet connection.
Liquro license to sell local and international alcohol. This is hard to get and very expensive.
KITCHEN
Fridge with icemaker. New big stainless steel oven and burners. Microwave. Fully equipped.New fridge.
COCTAIL BAR with freezer and fridge. Ice maker in fridge in rancho.
POOL sunken on the ancient coral reef. Pump was refurbished completely, new sand in filter.

Cement walls. Ceilings and other finishings all in Nispero and other hardwoods.
All supporting posts go 1 ½ mtrs into ground. Floors with iron mesh. Built anti-sismic.
Supporting posts, frames and ceilings in tropical hardwood “Nispero”very hard,doesn’t rot, insects cannot go inside. Other woods used black laurel, kasher, and ceder.
Between rooms partitions go up to roofs for sound insulation..
Hotel rooms have separate septic tank, restaurant and appartement have another.
110 V and 220 V. Two separate electrcicty meters.
Hot running water. 3 water heaters 220 v. ( not suicidal showers)
Own well, water tested excellent minerals. Never dries. Even in dry season can empty and fill swimming pool with no problem.
Water pump new from less than 1 year.

Fast Internet (ADSL) and wireless.

Satellite dish, with 3 separate boxes .2 in owners home and 1 in hotel room.
