Real Estate in San Isidro de Heredia. It is a charming town in the hills of Heredia, carrying a colonial air. Originally called Saca de Agua, or Water Hole, it was given the name of the Patron Saint San Isidro Labrador when the church remained all the town of the country in 1861.
Today still San Isidro is still providing water for the whole region, including some parts of San Jose. You are right in the middle of Coffee Country there and indeed, there are many Coffee Tours available if you are interested; the Cafe Britt Tour is probably the most popular. There is also cattle for milk and cheese and some vegetables cultivation.
San Isidro is located in a very lush part of the country, this because it is at the foot of the Braulio Carillo National Park, and the Central Volcanic Range.
San Isidro de Heredia, like many of its neighbouring towns, is a reflection of the true Costa Rican culture, therefore, it increases real estate interests. Little change there and with its tranquil country life style and cool climate, it is an ideal place to settle down, specially when the rest of the country’s heat is not up to everyone’s taste; those who prefer it cooler would find heaven there in the Zurqui mountains.
Green lush vegetation, lots of birds including various species of Humming Birds, total peace and serenity. The little white church is really charming and can be seen from very far away, even from San Jose.
The small central park and shopping street are great for strolling and finding bargains. Further more it is only minutes away from the City of Heredia, and of San Jose. In San Isidro you really experience living in Costa Rica, the simple way!
